Players represent officials from a distant\, decaying and neglectful Empire who are now free to vie for dominance whether through battle\, gathering scarce resources or diplomatic intrigue. Ready yourself for dramatic twists and turns as you launch into this galactic struggle. \nA deck of cards in 4 suits with ranks from 1-7 (2-6 for less than 4 players) defines the action selection system. These cards are played in a trick-taking adjacent system to select actions\, take the initiative and declare Ambitions. The 3 declared Ambitions are what will score in that deal. Timing is everything. Bad hands must be mitigated by careful card play and benefitting from other players’ card play. \nBattles are resolved quickly with the attacker choosing their level of risk. The defenders must be prepared with adequate defensive ships and cards in their tableau. \nEach game contains a hundred wooden ships and agents\, 18 custom engraved dice\, a beautiful six-panel board\, and tons of cards with over 60 pieces of unique art. The base game may be played without the optional Leaders and Lore cards (for an easier teach) or with them for a richer\, fuller and asymmetric game. From the minds of 3 DMs\, we bring you Cloudveil Adventures Guild\, a new West Marches-style 5e pick-up game. \nEach week\, 1 of 3 different DMs will lead your party through a wild journey and back again to share the glory of your spoils with your fellow guild-mates. \n– \nALWAYS RECRUITING!\nAdventure in the Forgotten Realms when you can\, no need to commit to every weekly game. Join sessions that fit your availability while the Adventuring Guild provides a central hub for roleplay\, resource sharing\, and continuity between games. Weekly there will be a One-Session Quests/Dungeon\, and occasionally there will be Multi Session Adventures that you may sign up for. We have designed this game with multiple talented DM’s to capture a cohesive D&D campaign experience with a flexible drop in/drop out system. \nNote that game start-times on Sunday may fluctuate slightly depending on the DM and weekly store schedule. Be sure to double-check the start time on the event postings each week\, or follow our Discord. \nAdditional Info:\nSpace is limited\, first-come-first-serve. To reserve your seat\, please use the form near the top of the page. Note that registration is not required to play\, but should too many players show up for a game session\, registration sign-ups are given priority. \nNew to the game or role-playing? Not a problem! Players of all skill levels are always welcome to the table. Materials to play can be provided\, but you are welcome to bring your own favorite dice set\, pencil\, and/or 5e character sheet. \nSnacks and refreshments are available to purchase\, or players may bring in their own to enjoy during the game. \nFor any player who’d like more game info or want to avoid potentially offensive/upsetting subject matter and desire going over community gaming safety tools with the Dungeon Master prior to playing\, we recommend either arriving early to the game\, or reaching out and contacting the DM.
