Rally forth and join us at Mana Cloud as we host a learn to play D&D session with Dungeon Master (aka DM) Travis! This is a free session held once a month in which you will be taught some of the core fundamentals of tabletop roleplaying games (aka TTRPGs) and the world of D&D in a open Q&A gameplay session. You will have the opportunity to get a feel for game mechanics\, how to play a character\, and (potentially) work with other novice adventuring peers to figure out how best to complete the session’s objective in a fun low-stakes custom quest setting! No experience\, materials\, or game knowledge required. \nThis event requires prepping by the DM\, and thus requires pre-registration. While last-minute signups or walk-ins are welcomed to join (if there is room at the table)\, if there are no signups by the start of the session day\, the game for that month will be considered cancelled. \nUse the form at the top of the page to check the current registrations and to secure your own seat. \nThis is a free to join event\, but as with any service\, if you would like to support your DM & the event you are welcomed to tip at the end of the session! \nAdditional Info:\nSpace is limited\, first-come-first-serve. We also offer our Cloudveil Adventures Guild at the store as an open-invite 5e ongoing one-shot campaign for those looking to play a regular session of D&D. \nAll materials to play can be provided during this session\, but you are welcome to bring an RPG 7-piece dice set\, journal for keeping character and game notes\, and/or 5e character sheet if you wish. This is a free session held once a month in which you will be taught some of the core fundamentals of tabletop roleplaying games (aka TTRPGs) and the world of D&D in a open Q&A gameplay session. You will have the opportunity to get a feel for game mechanics\, how to play a character\, and (potentially) work with other novice adventuring peers to figure out how best to complete the session’s objective in a fun low-stakes custom quest setting! No experience\, materials\, or game knowledge required. \nThis event requires prepping by the DM\, and thus requires pre-registration. SUMMARY:Lego Fall Build Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Lego Cozy Spooky Fall Build Challenge 🍂🎃🍂\nEmbrace the transition of the seasons with us as we celebrate the return of our Lego build challenge! This round\, we’re increasing the build duration\, and awarding gift certificates to the top 3 builds\, as voted upon by the community. \nThe challenge? Create a Fall-centric build using only the parts found in our Lego brick pit corner! We’re encouraging everyone to conjure their best inner seasonal vibes\, whether that range from puddle-jumper to cozy-pumpkin-spice-life to cute-but-creepy to harrowing-Halloween-horror  💀 \nThe only price to enter the challenge is the cost of the bricks used to construct your build. The builder with the highest vote ranking at the end of the competition will receive a $30 gift certificate\, with two follow-up winners each receiving $10 of in-store credit. \nBreakdown:\nTHE BUILD\nCreate a Fall-inspired Lego build using only the parts found within the Mana Cloud store Lego brick pit corner. The model subject and size will be open to the builder to decide\, but in order to qualify for the competition\, each completed build must: \nTo qualify to enter\, each build must: \n 🍂 Have an obvious element inspired by the Fall season\n 🍂 Be either a single model\, or confined to a single Lego plate\n 🍂 Be constructed in\, & using only Lego parts available from\, the store\n 🍂 Be on display at the store during entire competition (till Oct. 28th)\n 🍂 Be as all-audience friendly as possible* \n*NOTE: within the Lego brand standard. Please check with us if you have questions. Some thematic liberties will be allowed (EXP\, “gory” monster details). \n  \nENTRY DETAILS\nBuild your model at the store between Sept. 1st – Oct. 13th. When done for the day\, your build will be weighed & charged like a normal bulk Lego purchase. Contestants will be given an info card to fill out for display with their model. Builds may be worked on over multiple days\, and will only be considered complete & final on Oct 14th\, when judging begins. Entries may be taken home after Oct. 28th. \nAll builders: \n 🍂 May compete solo\, or with one partner as a team\n 🍂 Must pay for all pieces used in model\n 🍂 Must follow all contest guidelines to be eligible to win\n 🍂 May be any skill level or age to participate* \n*Contestants under the age of 18 must be entered by their parent or legal guardian. \nThere is no fee to enter\, outside the price of the materials used to enter the competition. Please read Additional Info section below for more details about how transactions for model entries will work. \n  \nDATES\nSeptember 1st – October 13th: Build a model entry anytime in-store\nOctober 14th-28th: Community voting open to the public\nOctober 30th: Winners announced on social media! \n  \nPRIZES\n3 different contestants will be chosen as the competition winners\, as decided upon by public voting at the end of the competition duration. 1 builder who receives the highest vote ranking will win a $30 gift certificate to Mana Cloud. 2 runner-up builders with the 2nd and 3rd highest vote scores will each receive $10 gift certificates. Prize gift certificates are only only redeemable in-store at Mana Cloud Geek Boutique\, and may be either used as in-store credit\, or as a physical certificate that may be gifted to someone else. Teams may request their prize be split & added to their account as store credit. \nWinners will be decided at the end of our voting period\, and contacted/announced through social media on October 30th! \n  \nVOTING\nVoting will open to the public between Oct. 14-28th. During this time\, we invite anyone to come & give their opinion on their personal favorite build! Please only vote once during this challenge. We will disqualify votes if we find anyone playing against the good nature of fair competition. \nVoters will be asked to rank their 3 favorite builds. The 3 highest overall at the end of voting will be announced as the winners on our social medias Oct. 30th. \nAdditional Info:\nFor space limitations\, builds must be small enough to fit in the competition display shelf\, & cannot be bigger than what fits on a single available Lego plate. We ask builders to stick to a plate appropriate to the size of their build. \nAll Lego bricks used to build in this competition may only be from those found available for sale within the brick corner at Mana Cloud. The drawer pieces (Character Creation & special-parts) may also be used\, but builders must keep track of how many they take. Complete minifigs cannot be parted out. If a builder wishes to purchase the minifig however\, we will allow them to use parts from the fig in their build. Please ask before use about any Lego that found outside the retail bin area. They may be inventory we are still processing\, or a someone’s progress build. \nBuilders may spend as much time as they need during open store hours between September 1st – October 13th. Once they are done building for the day\, their build will be weighed and payment will be calculated for the materials used to enter this competition. If contestants wish to add more to their build at a later date\, they must first allow an associate to weigh the build prior to being altered so that they will know how to correctly charge for new pieces that get added. \nNOTE: in the spirit of fairness (and housekeeping)\, we will not hold onto a bunch of loose unattatched pieces for builds in progress. For the sake of ease\, we ask that builders find a way to attach any otherwise yet unused pieces into their build before finishing building and checking out for the day. \nAll purchased bricks are the property of the builder. After purchase\, the build will be added to the competition display shelf\, where it will wait to be judged starting October 14th. We ask that all builds remain at the store for display and judging until after the winner is announced on October 30th\, after which all contestants may collect their build at any time during store operating hours. \n  \nQuestions?
